All proceedings of the Court of Record in the county must be public and permanent, so the Court Clerk's primary responsibility is to record these actions and transfer the permanent records to the courts. The County Court Clerk:

Keeps the appearance docket, trial docket, execution docket and a journal for the district court.
Delivers habeas corpus writs to the sheriff.
Furnishes full transcripts of any court proceeding.
Endorses all injunctions.
Collects all court costs.
Issues marriage licenses.
Keeps record of all jurors and witnesses.
